Time to save up for a new camera.

I’m planning to get myself a new camera a couple of months from now. I wasn’t able to buy the LX3 I wanted before because I had to use the money I saved up for our expenses. I’m currently using our family’s Samsung point and shoot but I would like to get myself a good dlsr if possible.

I’m torn between Nikon and Canon since the price difference between them is relatively close. I’ve been a Canon girl, even back when we still had to use film to take pictures. My first digital camera was a Canon IXUS and I’m used to Canon printers. I haven’t fully decided which to choose so I’m looking over camera reviews to find the best camera that fits my needs and my budget.

Books & Boxes.

I hope the shipping box Amazon used for my books is sturdy. I want to get my books in pristine condition. Hopefully it would arrive on time on December 4th without custom duties. The shipping cost a bit expensive already, I hope the custom duties would just be around P20 or so. I still have to decide whether I should order the boxes I want from RFM for the coming holidays. Though it would cost me around 3k to get the boxes, holders, cups and ribbons.

Kettlebells?

Has anyone seen those Kettlebells? I don’t think I’ve seen them yet locally. I rarely get interested on fitness equipment unless they’re threadmills, but these ones look cute. Maybe I can try them if they get to the local malls, usually near the appliance centers or HandyMan where those “As Seen on TV” stalls are located. I think someone I know would like that as a gift. :)

Jitters.

I’m having some pre-grad jitters. I still need to get a dress and new shoes. I got one dress today but I’m not sure if I can wear that. I might change my mind and opt for the white top, black skirt and black leather shoes combo. I’m not a frequent clothes shopper so I have a limited wardrobe. I try to limit my clothes and just get the basic things I really need and wear. So I still have to decide before this week ends as to what I’ll wear. >.<

I've been thinking of businesses and one of the things I like is furniture. I think I got it from Mom. I thought of it because I wanted some of the patio chairs I saw from that site. I’d need a significant amount of investment before I can pull it off so in the meantime I’ll have to find some smaller items that I can invest on to sell to consumers. I have to make use of Multiply and my networks. :D

Back home.

I’m so tired from the commute. All this rain makes going home harder for people who commute every day. At least the rain stopped a bit before I rode the bus and until I got home. I decided not to bring my laundry home since its hard to bring lots of stuff when it rains. So I need to bring some clean clothes when I go back to Boni this Sunday. I don’t have any large bags to haul my stuff into and I left the biggest one I had in Boni when I left earlier. I really need to get something that can fit a lot of stuff, like one of those Eagle Creek luggage bags. I like their Deviant line and I especially like this:

duffel

I think my sister will like it too since she likes green as well. Though I think she’ll like the cosmetic caddy more.

Happy Mother’s Day ;)

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there in the world! :P

I was originally planning to cook lasagna for Mom today but we ended having lunch at home with a KFC bucket meal. :D We moved it for dinner but the masseuse arrived late afternoon so I wasn’t able to cook it again. Good thing Ate Nita was around so she made chicken sopas and our sister Jed made some fried chicken wings for dinner. The ingredients for the chocolate cake and lasagna have already been purchased earlier so I will be making it tomorrow instead. :D Sort of a post-Mother’s Day celebration. I didn’t think it was suitable to go get an affordable leather lingerie as a gift to Mom. Just thinking of it freaks me out. Hahaha.

Magic Hair Removal Wand

xD I bought one Magic Hair Removal Wand from a user in Multiply.com the other day and the delivery guy from LBC arrived this afternoon. :D I immediately tried it and it was much better in terms of less pain compared to threading. Although its a bit tricky to use the first time. I reckon with a few more uses I’ll be adept in handling it. :D It was priced at P280 and shipping was for P83 so in total it was P363. Although I didn’t know that paying through a bank deposit with Metrobank would cost P50. >.> I should’ve used GCash instead since I would just have to pay around 1% for payments less than P1000. T_T

Oh well, I’ll remember that next time. I like BPI better because they don’t have a deposit fee for provincial transactions.
