Pinay Freelancer is finally up.

I have decided to use this domain to discuss topics related to freelancing which enables individuals like me to work and earn in the comforts of my own home. I have been working online for the past 10 months and I have found it quite rewarding.

I haven’t really worked on a full time 9 to 5 schedule because I haven’t really applied for one. I used to work part-time teaching ESL to Koreans as well as doing some odd side jobs for other people. I like being able to work on the wee hours of the night at home and not in some building in the metro. I do enjoy socializing with people and I do love working with others in organizing events and such but I prefer “working” alone. Freelancing sparked my interest because I can work peacefully in my room (anytime of the day) and I don’t have to bother with office politics. I don’t do well in controversial situations. Blogging is a part of my freelancing experience and I have been blogging for around 9 months or so. I have earned writing for several companies and I have enjoyed writing for them.

I decided to write articles here based from my experiences as well as discuss other resources and websites that may help other individuals find home-based opportunities. I have friends that found home-based opportunities a great way to earn income because they can do it at the comforts of their own home. My friends who have newly born babies enjoy writing and blogging because they can earn while spending time with their babies at home. Some of my friends who work in traditional 9 to 5 jobs also enjoy blogging and writing because it supplements their income. Many people take pride in doing freelance work because we give our best efforts in it much like in traditional jobs. The difference is that we get to enjoy our time and we learn to manage it. By doing freelance work, our work schedule is flexible because we can choose the best time for us to work while having enough time to spend doing things we love too.

Many people are scared of setting up their own websites or blogs because they think its too complicated. I’ve helped friends in setting up their own blogs and I try my best to help answer their questions which helped me learn more. So I decided to write some articles that talk about setting up your own sites and blogs as well as other basic information that can be helpful to those who are interested to begin blogging or writing.
